LSAC is best known for administering the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). However, we do much more. Associate/Assistant General Counsel

Position Code: AGC

Primary Responsibilities

Assist the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel in the efficient delivery of all necessary legal services. Draft or review contracts, develop and coordinate compliance with record-retention policy, review and revise the Staff Handbook, manage test question licensing, provide litigation support, update and assure compliance with privacy policies, serve on the Questioned Test-Score Review Board and respond to legal inquiries regarding it, and perform legal research and writing assignments as needed.

Qualifications

JD degree from an ABA-approved law school required. Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar with, at minimum, an In-House Counsel License (or eligibility for Bar admission within six months) required. Minimum five years experience in the provision of legal services to in-house or external clients required; work experience at an educational testing organization or higher education institution preferred. Contract experience required; experience in the provision of other legal services described above preferred. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and sound independent judgment; and good client-relations skills required.
